Join Us for the Launch of “Anima Mundi: In The Garden – Giggles In The Greenery” On September 14, 2024, at 5 PM, we invite you to Livraria Exclamação in Porto for the unveiling of “Anima Mundi: In The Garden – Giggles In The Greenery.” This graphic anthology, initiated by Nica Harrison and supported by Manchester Metropolitan University and the University of the Arts London, brings together captivating works by 12 international artists, including myself, Kim Noce.

“Anima Mundi” explores the intricate connections between humans and the natural world through the eyes of Seraphina, a character who embodies curiosity and respect as she travels through diverse realms. The anthology challenges us to rethink our relationship with nature amidst today’s environmental and social challenges.

In my contribution, I explore the mystical and historical significance of Datura, a plant known for its dual role as medicine and poison, historically linked to witch hunts and herbal healing practices. My artwork and animations dive into the legacy of women healers, framed as witches, and their crucial role in the history of medicine.

The launch will be an enriching experience, complete with exhibitions and engaging discussions. It’s a chance to meet the artists and delve into the creative processes behind the anthology.
